(Un)Real Madrid Join the Armagh Soccer Leagues

We are excited to announce another new team to enter the Armagh Soccer Leagues for the new season. Unreal Madrid become the 3rd or 4th team in our leagues history to put some spin on the real madrid name, no team who has chosen the Galacticos title has succesfully won any of the ASL titles, but some have come close. How far will Unreal Madrid go this season? time will tell.

Armagh City Hotel Join ASL

Polonia Return

We are pleased to announce the return of Polonia to the Armagh Soccer Leagues. Polonia are one of the longest serving teams in the ASL having competed in 6 of the 7 seasons to date. They are known for their counter attacking football and strong defence. Their biggest win came in summer 2010 when they one the inaugural world cup. Welcome back boys!

Kings of Lyon & Multiple Scoregasms Return

The first two confirmed teams for the new ASL season are the returning double premier league champions Kings of Lyon and Multiple Scoregasms. This will be the Kings 6th season in the ASL having won back to back Premier league titles. Multiple Scoregasms enter into their fourth season having competed at the top of the champions league standings in each of their previous seasons. Welcome back boys! The new Armagh Soccer Leagues 7-a-side season starts on monday 6th February 2012. Registrations close Friday 4th Feb. Only £60 is required this season to secure your teams place in the league, this £60 covers your last two league games of the season, and as always there is no other entry fee. Places given on first come first served basis. Dont delay allready lots of interest

They not called the Filthy Swines for nothing!

Thats a wrap for 2011, Kings of Lyon become the first back to back Premier League champions in the ASL while the Filthy Swines made it 3rd time lucky to finally get their hands on the coveted Champions league trophy. Both finals were very similar games, with defence being the first priority for each team. Both finals had scoreless first halfs, and with 8 minutes left in the Premier league final the kings of lyon got their 1 goal to clinch and retain their title, while in the Champions League final, the Swines showed their previous finals experience playing a counter attack system which paid off with 10 minutes left in the game and was enough to finally get their hands on the trophy they so desperatly wanted! Congrats to both winning teams.

THE NEXT ASL SEASON KICKS OFF ON TUESDAY 7TH FEBRUARY 2012, REGISTRATIONS OPEN TOMORROW MORNING

Final Four Confirmed

The Filthy Swines and the Blue and White Devils will compete for the Champions league crown. Both teams have got to the final before but nither has managed to lift the 27″ trophy. Someones disappointment will be over this time next week and the others must suffer their lost oppurtunity.

Meanwhile in the Premier League division the Kings of Lyon will defend their title and become only the second team to ever retain either trophy in our 8 Seasons to date. New comers Lokomotiv Deportivo will be the opposition in what should be a great tense night of ASL action!
