The new Armagh Soccer Leagues 7-a-side season starts on monday 21sth May. Registrations close Friday 18th May. 12 Places Available, Only £60 is required this season to secure your teams place in the league, this £60 covers your last two league games of the season, and as always there is no other entry fee. Places given on first come first served basis. Dont delay allready lots of interest

They not called the Filthy Swines for nothing!

Thats a wrap for 2011, Kings of Lyon become the first back to back Premier League champions in the ASL while the Filthy Swines made it 3rd time lucky to finally get their hands on the coveted Champions league trophy. Both finals were very similar games, with defence being the first priority for each team. Both finals had scoreless first halfs, and with 8 minutes left in the Premier league final the kings of lyon got their 1 goal to clinch and retain their title, while in the Champions League final, the Swines showed their previous finals experience playing a counter attack system which paid off with 10 minutes left in the game and was enough to finally get their hands on the trophy they so desperatly wanted! Congrats to both winning teams.

Final Four Confirmed

The Filthy Swines and the Blue and White Devils will compete for the Champions league crown. Both teams have got to the final before but nither has managed to lift the 27″ trophy. Someones disappointment will be over this time next week and the others must suffer their lost oppurtunity.

Meanwhile in the Premier League division the Kings of Lyon will defend their title and become only the second team to ever retain either trophy in our 8 Seasons to date. New comers Lokomotiv Deportivo will be the opposition in what should be a great tense night of ASL action!

Interesting night of results especially in the Champions Legue, firstly Caledon did not have enough players to start the game until 7:20 which meant they had allready forfeited the game therefore Multiple Scoregasms got all three points in a 3:0 result. In the other Champions League game the Filthy Swines leapfrogged moved into second with a 3:1 win over the Devils.

In the Premier league Polonia’s chances of making the final disappeared after a 3:2 loss to Lokomotive Deportivo, while the Kings of Lyon drew 0:0 with unathletico Madrid. Three can still qualify for the final. Next weeks games should be interesting.

Squeaky bum time has arrived

No score draws are a rarity in the ASL but two no score draws in as many weeks in the champions league division proves it really is squeaky bum time! Lokomotiv and Kings of Lyon kicked off the evenings games with a spirited 1:1 draw which sees Lokotmitve stay in 1st place and the reigning champions in third. The filthy swines started fast against Multiple Scoregasms and were 3:0 up at one point in the game, Scoregasms showed their championship potential however, to claw the game back and get the equalizer shortly before the end of the game. Sir alex would be proud of you boys.

In the other two games of the night the Devils recorded their second consecutive no score draw to remain in 2nd place while Caledon remain top. In the big derby game of the night Unathletico Madrid came away with all 3 points with a 4:2 win over Polonia. With only two weeks left of the regular season everyone can still make the final of their divisions but next weeks games are MASSIVE!!!

After a two week break the ASL restarted tonight with 4 tight games. Kings of Lyon moved into pole position in the Premier league with a tightly contested 3:2 victory over Polonia. Lokomotiv Deportivo also moved up the rankings with a 2:0 win over Unathletico Madrid.

The champions league also heated up tonight with the Devils and Scorgasms unable to find the back of the net in a rare 0:0 draw. Caledon also suffered a loss for the first time since the opening week of the season losing 2:0 to the Filthy Swines. With only 3 weeks left before the finals night all teams are still in contention of making their respetive finals!

Halloween Break & New Alert System Information

Apologies for monday nights cancellation, the heavy flooding caused us problems, none more so that head referee rory whos house was flooded at 6:30 on monday evening, leaving us short a referee for the night. Mixed with that a lot of the players travelling from Dungannon area were having problems getting to Armagh with the state of the roads.

We are now going to create a MOBILE ALERT SYSTEM which will store all players numbers in a system so that if we ever have to alert players quickly about any such problems in future we can do it quickly.

Action from tonights games

Plenty of action and goals on the coldest night of the season tonight. Caledon stayed top of the Champions league group wiht a 4:1 win over 6 man Multiplen Scoregasms. The Blue and White devils took their oppurtunity to get back into the top two of the table with a 6:2 win over the Filty Swines.

In the Premier league Polonia moved to the top of the table for the first time after a 1:1 draw with Lokomotive Deportivo, a point was enough to give Polonia the top spot after Kings of Lyon dropped all the points vs Unathletico Madrid in the 2:1 loss. There seemed to be some confusion tonight among teams, each team plays the other teams in their division twice with the top two teams then going through to their respective finals. All teams still in with a shout.

4 Seasons ago Polonia finished rock bottom of the table at the split, and went on to lift the World cup.
Following a very slow start to this season the Kings of Lyon were in that same position, but fast forward to week 1 of the Premier league division and a strong 4:1 win over Lokomotiv Deportivo shows that Lyon are keen to keep the premier league trophy in Keady for the next few months. In the other Premier league game Polonia took all the points with a tight 3:2 victory over Unathletico Madrid.

In the Champions league division Multiple Scoregasms left it late to beat the Filthy Swines 3:2. Short of players tonight the Scoregasms drafted in players from Broomhill to win the game for them. (No bribes were paid for this comment honest) The best game of the night was between Caledon and the Blue and White Devils, with 2 minutes left in the game the Devils scored from a corner to tie the game 2:2 only for Caledon to score with the last kick of the game to take all 3 points.
